Blown head gasket

Well as the title says i've blown another (both?) gasket on the ea82.

white smoke blowing out the back for a few k's after start-up, rumbles like a three cylinder at start up until warm, still makes 80k/hr but not driving it after today. Jeeze only started idling rough three days ago, just after i booked in for belt replacement...oh well...:(

Any way, seems i am not able to post in the classifieds atm, so if anyone wants parts or the wagon then pm me and we'll take it from there.

bits i have outside the wagon that won't do me any good so far are; new standard king springs still in shipping wrap(bought two weeks ago), oil pump seal kit including rotor, radius rod bushes(still in packets) and rear suspension bushes which i haven't gotten around to installing as yet.

Looks to be the end of all things suby for me, for at least a while anyway...

why not just get another motor and chuck it in. few hours job, might cost a couple of hundred for a working EA82...get a few more years service out of the car. a dead motor in an L series is a pretty minor problem these days.

Agree with that. I converted my L to MPFI - that engine died so now I'm running a carbie engine in it again til I get something better sorted...

Time for an EJ?! I'm getting there - slowly.

Cheers
