Thanks for that. Its comforting to know the system still gets used a new install basis! by what this bloke had said it sounded like it was superceeded by a 'better' system many years ago. Is it possible that this gas system install could be causing the ECU to think that the car is running a normal idle? Pre reset that car had a normal idle on petrol only but would stall on gas.

Ok.. well in light of the news about gas, I'd say take it to a gas specialist.. most of them are experianced mechanics too so can diagnose engine faults and problems. I know that because of some Subies using 'waste spark' setup, they tend not to work that well on gas. Get lots of back fires and blow lots of hoses off and stuff up AFM big time :( When runnng on gas the O2 sensor is not working correctly and you really need a wide lamba sensor for gas but this depends on your gas system. I'd definately get it down to a specialist.

The GRA gas carbies of a bout fifteen years ago were the ducks guts in some eyes as they were jettable and said to give better mixture across the rev / load range.

It may not have been set up correctly or had a no brain dude making his own adjustments. Find GRA site and I think it has list of their preferred installers/tuners. If not an email or quick phone call should help

High idle issue has now gone. Car seems to have learned how to idle properly all on it's own!
