the simptions that his bike was playing up with is the same as trouble im having with my brumby but not as bad

If thats the case, have you tried to fix the situation using the one that fixed your mate's bike?!

running on preamium runs fine until it gets low in the tank. but plays up moast of the time on normal fuel. i fuel up the same place the coppers fill so its quallaty
will get tank cleaned soon and tested

my 89 brumby done the same thing 6 weeks ago i changed plugs,leads,cap,checked valves and reset timing... not 100% fixed but it was running a lot better
Im looking for a cheap second hand 2-4" lift kit for my brumby... if u have one pm me plz

Well I'm also getting the fuel smell in the cabin when I have this trouble.

I'm wondering about the charcoal canister. The car is hardly driven but it is 21 years old.
