Pros and cons compared to what?

Do you want an auto or a manual, AWD or FWD?

Always look for evidence of regular oil changes and maintenance. A full service history is a great start, but there aren't many with one. Check that there are no crunchy noises when driving slowly on full lock (CVs/Bearings) and check that all the CV boots are in good order, ie no splits. Make sure timing belt has been changed in last 100,000km or 4 years.

Rust isn't generally a problem, but do all the checks you would when buying any car. The less km, generally the better, but not always.

Pretty much Gen2 Liberty are great cars to have - I don't really have any pro or cons about them. Get Dual Range manual wagon - nice thing to have/drive.
Cheers

I'll second that motion - anything is better than an auto unless you have to use one due to a physical condition.

Cheers
