Brumby aircon wiring .

Post by discopotato03 » Sun Nov 04, 2007 10:55 am

Hi all , is there an online Brumby wiring diagram that shows the separate loom and relays for the aircon system . I need to know how it switches the MY dual electric fans .

Cheers and thanks , Adrian .

Adrian,

I doubt there's an online diagram as there is at least 3 designs that I know of. I do know the left (from front of car) fan replaces the crank-driven fan and I don't think it is on the A/C circuit. The right fan I believe isn't termperature controlled and runs as soon as the A/C button is pushed. I can scan my 1983 FSM A/C pages if that's of any use.

Hi Dean , unfortunately the butts fallen out of my plan . I thought the main electric fan off aircond Brumbys would bolt to the L series radiator and at a glance the fan looked larger than the mechanically driven one .
The rotter doesn't bolt up and the fan itself is actually smaller so no good .
The only positive is that I found a 10" Davies Crag fan that I forgot I had . I layed it on a used L rad core and it makes me wonder if two 12" ones would fit side by side . People have talked of late about fitting elec fans from European cars I assume because they are thinner than some others .

I don't see a future in the MY fans or wiring so it'll stop here .

Thanks Dean , cheers A .
