this is a job i'd advise not to do yourself, not worth the pain & trouble, and I do like to fix most things myself.
in my region there is a brake specialist that does the caliper overhaul, in fact i'd bet all sensible local mechanics all send the brake calipers to them for the overhaul, and anyone can take calipers to them too.
So see if you can find such a place in your region.

I would estimate about $130 or so. The actual seal kits are very cheap (bout 20 bucks) but there is a couple of hours labour in it for them to disassemble/reassemble and hone the bore.
They'd probably charge another hour or two ontop of that if you drive the car in there. Save some money and bring them the caliper yourself.
Personally I'd get both front ones done at the same time.

Buy some RS/GT turbo brakes.....the GX ones are piddly, you may need 15" wheels to fit tho....

Straight bolt up, fair increase in performance, discs and calipers 2nd hand should be ~$250-$300 from a wrecker or private. ~$500 may get you some 4 pots or GTB 2 pot brakes(MASSIVE increase in braking performance, night and day, may need 16-17" wheels to fit !)

Other than that you could buy another 2nd hand caliper for the GX from a wrecker or private sale fairly cheap !
