oil warning light out

Post by artrixx » Thu Dec 07, 2006 4:58 pm

my l-series wagon doesnt have an oil warning light that works. my manual is packed away and in storage could some one shed some light on where the oil sender is on the engine and if there are any ways of testing the system before i start ripping the dash apart looking to see if its just the bulb thats blown. cheers

There would be some resistance or voltage measure I'm sure that you would test w the multimeter but sorry I don't have the specs. Location on the carb EA82 is front lower block, just under the timing covers I believe. A yellow/tan (my one anyway) runs down from above past the front of the timing covers, near the oil dipstick, and to the gauge.
