$50? I'd get one from a Lib. Likely to be newer.

Yes and no if you use a liberty one you will have to swap the rack ends to the L series ones. If you use a rack from a turbo car you will need to enlarge the hole where the steering shaft goes through the cross member. L series lines are interchangeable with liberty ones (end threads actual lines are different)

Will the Lib rack bolt up to the MY crossmember?

MYs have an opposite thread configuration so the rack ends wont interchange with the liberty ones.

Just incase your interested, a while back I priced up a L series power steering rack brand new. Most prices around the traps were in excess of $600 !

Brought an L rack earlier this year best price was $200 from local wreckers
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).
