Knocking noise coming from Brumby

Post by Subaru88 » Fri Nov 13, 2009 1:59 pm

G'day,

There is a knocking noise coming from beneath my Brumby. It happenes when she is cold, the knock speeds up as I drive and only does it when I am gear and moving. It goes away after 500m of driving.

Any advice please??

Can I just remove the CV boot bandit clamp, pull the boot back back, give the joint a clean and then grease the joint with lithium moly grease?

Cheers.

Yeah you can do it that way but it is better to remove and do it properly on the bench.
