troubleshot alright, now new trouble...

It happened, the one thingh I dreaded and have been for some time, in trying to remove the last (and it's always the last) bolt from torque converter to drive plate. Some may recall this very same drama I had 18 months ago. Back when I refitted things I used good condition bolts and did not over tighten them and sealed stuck with silicone. Today in my engine swap mood (it's cool temps too) I tried all my spanners including metrinch and a brand new long ring, to no avail.

Bloody 12mm head just rounded off, tried the centre punch trick, freeze and release stuff, nothing. So I figured I was gonna drill across the flat and just knock the head offf and die grind the remains. BIG OOPS was I did not mark my drill bit, just waiting for it to pop out the other side. Problem was that it kept going through the collar in the head just quietly boring away until I popped into the inside of my torque converter !!!

Got the centre punch onto the drilled hole and hey presto she is undone

Just got a little welding job to call in on my mufler man to mig up.
