what to buy

hey guys im in the market for a liberty wagon or a forester.....earlier models as im a fairly poor uni student haha.

but I just wantr to know the things that tend to go wrong with these cars. Ive been told foresters develop oil leaks out of the blue, and also that when something goes wrong its generally really expensive to fix.

If you guys could let me know some of the things to look out for it would be really appreciated,
