Recommend this kit to anyway, it's well made and no longer manufactured so I wouldn't expect them to come up for sale very often like this.

Wonder why the name is censored on this forum.

That question has no answer, it's been asked so many times :p

Someone enlighten me, are these kits specific to L series OR MY? Or do they fit both?
And Fatz, is this a locals only sale or would you pack for a courier?
Will it ever end!?
-EA81 TWIN CARB!!!!
-L series 5 speed
-Custom paint job
-2" lift
-Full custom re-wire
-L series front end

They are specific to L or MY - Fatz' would be an L kit I'd say.

While that is true, the main parts to convert an L or MY to the 5 stud is the same - the rear end hubs and backing plate conversion parts.

The front lower control arms can be modified on the MY to accept the larger EJ ball joint. I'm sure you can work out the rear hand brake setup for the console - I can't remember what hand brake the MY needed to convert to a rear pull setup, but I'm sure it's on the forum here somewhere (search Bratgeebah for the info).

The only thing from there to work out is the custom MY front shafts - I think it was EJ outer CV joint, MY shaft and inner joint.

Worth the coin, I'm 99% sure Fatz is selling this below what it cost him!

Also, great to see an old member pop up mate! Will you be sticking around or just off-loading some parts?

Cheers

Have messaged Fatz, it would be great to get this to go with the forester I have ready to pull to bits and stick into my brumby!

They were more than a grand from memory, I bought one too.
Yeah the main part really is the specially machined rear hubs. The backing plate it comes with can probably be adapted to MY torsion bar setup somehow too. Certainly wouldn't be a turn-key solution it's intended to be to get it working on an MY but at least the hard engineering part is done. You might be able to get hold of the detailed parts list and installation instructions for both types of kit from Cr0ss-bread if you contact them.

Hey guys. Yeah it has been a while since I have lurked these forums. I have since become a father and have a couple of kids... who would have thought it. :) even bought my first house last year. So been too busy for the subaru hobby sadly. So I am clearing it all out and keeping my family 4x4.
The kit is for a my. It was purchased to be installed in that brumby I also have for sale.
Its awesome to see some old names pop up here in this feed. Made my day :)
