Subaru Weekend on the East Coast

Post by BRUMBERTY » Thu Feb 16, 2006 9:38 am

Hi guys,
Planning a working B weekend on the Subarus here in Swansea.
25th and 26th of Feb.

Bring your Subie, some tools and a fishing rod.

Its a chance to get some help with the smaller projects from people who may have done it before.

I have a hoist arranged for the Sunday (at least) and a pit all weekend.
I have access to a mig welder and grinders/drill press etc if we get really serious.
We will be fishing early mornings and possibly sunset.

Everyone is welcome to crash at my place, Loads of room to roll out a swag or pitch a tent. there is a few spare rooms and beds too.

Let me know if you are keen.
Matt

May I ask what else is on the go?

yeah monsters not looking too likely at the mo, sounds like it could be big end bearing or something (fearing the worst)

unless i can drop the spare engine in that i got coming on tuesday in sometime during the week and getn some form of exhaust for it... doable, but very unlikely

got pete (my mechanic 8) ) comin round hopefully tonight to tell me whats going on

with any luck hes gonna tell me i forgot something simple and fixes the problem and all is good

No 4WDing planned unless you guys want to, we will be fishing at Bagot Point at the mouth of the Swan River, little bit of carefull sand driving there.

I have emailed LegacyTT, we will see how busy he is.

The BBQ will be running all weekend, that way the hands can stay greasy!
If someone has some wheel ramps they can bring, it will help.

See you all soon.

Weekend

Post by legacytt » Tue Feb 21, 2006 8:58 am

Sounds like a great weekend, unfortunately I couldn't make it sound interesting enough for the family to want to make it an outing and as I have been away the last few weekends climbing I had better do the right thing and stay home. However, if the NW Coasties want to call in on your way home feel free, would be good to catch up and you can see the Lib in the flesh. Give me a call when you know what time you are passing.

Hey guys...i have decided to change my plans a little this weekend..
Instead of going to hobz early on the morn, i will be going straight to swansea early in the morn, then around bout 3-4pm, i will be heading off to hobart for this metal concert which starts around 6-6.30 and finishes at 1am. i might crash down there fpr the night, and on the way back to burnie go visit ian, and see how the TT is going.....

What time will you be getting to swansea johnny? i can finally buy ya snorkel off ya:P and some other random stuffs too.
Cheers. What time does the swansea gig start? i wanna be there as early as possible so i dont miss out on anything :P
Ok Manzies, cyas l8r
