L series spare wheel bits

Post by subius » Sun Jul 31, 2011 7:42 pm

anyone got the support bracket and the fastening bolt for the spare wheel in an L series.

I have discovered I can now fit the spare back in the engine bay and I think I have chucked those bits out.

Cheers

L series kyb rear shocks

Post by subius » Mon Dec 05, 2011 7:56 pm

Bought a set of brand new kybs for the back of the vortex, turns out I bought the wrong ones so they are up for sale. Done about 2km so essentially brand new. kyb part number 341214, they are for a 2wd sedan and have higher spring seats than the wagon ones.

More info in the for sale section or just drop me a pm.

$220 for the pair.

retail at $168 each

Cheers

URGENT crank shaft pulley launceston

Post by ScubyRoo » Sun Jan 08, 2012 12:50 pm

Hey tassie crew

I'm currently in Launceston and my crank shaft pulley has shat itself. It's rounded out the locating notch and is unbalanced, it's spat the altenator/ps belt off once already and I don't want to drive the car much further. As I'm supposed to be road tripping with mates while we're down from Vic this is a sh*t thing to happen.

Can anyone suggest where I could look (wreckers? auto suppliers?) for a replacement? I don't want to spend a fortune from Subaru and they would probably have to order it from sydney anyway.

Being Sunday everything is closed - where should I call tomorrow? Also looking for a mechanic to do the work as I don't have the necessary tools with me.

Car is a '97 outback, 2.5L manual.

Any help is massively appreciated!

Cheers,
Owen.

Hey Guys,

I have a 1988 L series wagon with a rebuilt EA82 engine, head has cracked so she is running hot now, when it was rebuilt was top and bottom end so the short motor is good.

Has two good tires, body is a bit rough. Free to a good home!! A six pack would be appreciated though :)

Located in Deviot.

Give me an email or call phone call on 0427 035 175 if your keen.

I am at sea between the 24th and 30th of March so just leave a message!

Cheers

Frosty

I reckon I'll take it. Sounds perfect to leave down at the shack to take the boat down to the beach. I'll talk to you again when you get back.

Cheers

its being wrecked by a business called gunns!

Why, we ask that too but the world needs toilet paper and phone books.
we sell them old growth forest for a few bucks a tonne to make it.

Sorry, we are very sorry, angry and sad if they build the proposed pulp mill and really ruin it.
1989 Subaru WonderBrumby II
EJ22 Dual range AWD lifted, widened and much happier now thanks very much.

1991 L Series wagon, white and perfectly normal apart from the ticking, no I think that is normal.

Jet boat..webbered EA81 with a hybrid tin dish welded and glued to it.
