Genuine (BROBE) RX turbo shell

Post by MY_STI » Wed Jul 23, 2008 12:37 pm

Its been great fun, but imho liberty wagons are just so much hotter than L sedans, even ej-t'ed ones. Shame it didn't get a run at Baskerville.

So the rx is generously donating all its go fast bits to liberty. Ironically enough, that’s where most of them came from.

Someone take it off me, I would cry if had to be scrapped.

Whats done/will be left in it? Not all that much really.
- seamwelded front end
- rad support modded for an early ej turbo radiator
- ea turbo x-member
- Almost complete RX interior. (most of which is under the house!)
- tacho dash cluster with oil pressure and volts. (NO pressure sender)
- Bosche 910 external fuel pump 165l/h @ 5BAR (may keep......)
- tinted windows, great windscreen (<-- Adz?)
- Shortened forward tail shaft piece, with replaceable uni joint (MY)
- Shortened shifters, both for throw and to fit an ej box.
- ej gearbox -> L xmembers.
- rear sway bar + arms. New wheel bearings as well!
- boss kit with momo wheel (leather peeling bigtime!)

5 stud gear WILL NOT be available, however if your really want some then we can arrange something.

Thread is in here because I CBF'ed posting anything to the mainland, and I would rather see the whole lot put to good use locally.
Surely that seems perfectly logical and reasonable to all.

Mods feel welcome whinge, bitch and remove. Always have in the past.

Whoa, Will has some attitude:O
Mate,
I would most definitely be interested in the windscreen and maybe even some tinted windows.
Guessing the GB isn't dual range?
Also might be interested on rear control arms with the new bearings.
love you

Yeah, get sick of coodling egos from time to time (ie, uni lecturers). Had to impart some mongrel.

Gearbag will stay with the engine sorry bruv --> into ze wagz.

Still undecided on the coilovers, the rears will require some work to fit into the lib. Teasing with the idea of just getting kyb's n kings for a somewhat more user friendly ride. (which is sooo lazy)

Gotta go and play with Sam's 'tex, will shot you a pm tonight Jarrod.

Love you too Adz

Really? What model? I have been looking for a genuine black RX for a while. If it is the right year model I think we would pay for the shipping from over there. If it is what we want then we CouldBF'ed getting it here.

Hi Matt! Good to see you pop your head in. Its the rx cheques, they speak at another level!
PM replied also.

Not even close Mick, lib wag is at mums, bought the L wag back down, and with a bit of luck and sunshine will be gone by the close of the w/end. Going to whip the engine out of the blue lib Sat and see what I can see. Things are finally moving, prob about 3 weeks off getting stuck into 'mine' though.

Re the tourer: Would be after some parts if you are going to wreck it, really don't need another resto project atm.
