BTW, there is one cabin left, no more deluxe villas and only a hand full of sites. So as already said, get off your bum and book this week.

Cool. So are you flying or driving out?

We are driving out, not sure what dates everyone else is leaving. We are leaving on the Monday due to Brett not getting back from Fraser till Friday arvo/ Saturday morning. This will give me enough time to strip the van of beach gear and fill it with outback gear. We have booked the cabin from Thursday night for 5 nights.

Yeah he sounds real cranky too. Better do what we're told.

I think I'm just going to book an unpowered site at the same park.

Wlber did you get the message of using the van to stretch out that lanky body of yours. You are very welcome to use it, even if you do only have a Toyota.

gees only been away from the computer a few days and missed lots in here...

brumbyrunner: thanks for your input, i was hoping you would comment as you have done it all before.

definately wasnt looking at one day stints when i divided that all up, just broke it up into arbitrary chunks. Wilbur is suggesting 3 days to Alice, I will probably leave early and do it in 4. Brisbane - Longreach in 14hrs doesnt sound very appealing to me..

HTFU Dangerous :p

Trust me. There is nothing you want to stop and see. If you must there is a nice dam outside Emerald that we stopped at last time or if you can't make that there are plenty of pubs in Rocky to sleep in. Remember no doze is your friend. OR bring and mate and share the driving.

I did get your message Megan. Thanks for the offer but I think I'm packing both a touring type tent and a couple of swags. Pretty positive I'll have a passenger this trip.

So I'm aiming to leave on the Monday, and be in Alice on the Wednesday. Geez I'm getting excited already. Got so much exciting stuff to do (buy) before then though.

hey Wilbur...

rang the park, they are OK with 2 cars on the one site and there is apparently tons of room for 2 touring tents. You have been allocated a pretty big site, so they have marked it "please leave on this site as they have 2 cars..."

I hope your mate doesnt snore ;)

lmao. Yeah that is 32 hours. I am NOT even attempting that Will.

Cool Dane. My mate doesn't snore but if he starts that crap he can go sleep somewhere else with Dave.

Re Four Ways - Julia Creek

Google Maps shows the Wills Development Road direct from Four Ways to Julia Creek via Taldora. is this an error?

"238 km – about 3 hours 1 min"

Sounds like we are talking about the same road?

I only put Four Ways - Julia Creek - Kynuna in so that we wouldn't be redoing roads you guys did last year.

I am sure the appeal of 110kph on sealed roads will see us travelling Four Ways - Cloncurry - Kynuna
