Anybody interested in meeting other Subaru owners in Adelaide? i am offering my place as somewhere to meet if any other members would like to talk shop or whatever. Post a date if you would like to catch up with others. I would sure like to meet those of you in the local area. I have a project about to start and all the info I can gather would be great.
Be warned I live down in Christies so it may be a bit out of the way for some. For those in the mechanical or auto trade wanting to meet possible customers, it could be a good way to do it too. Let us know what you think. Could make it an install day too if you like. I have enough secure undercover parking for 6 vehicles, and parking room for a few more.
Day starts at 9am but turn up when you want. Don't drink and drive so bring the missus as chauffer...lol
Numbers are starting to get there.
Attendance list thus far:
Wildhorse-Scott (thats me)

G'day mate.
I'm down that side of the city, and work in the south.
Pretty busy up to Chrissie, but keen to drop in if we can get a group together.
there is a few guys around the forum in and around Adelaide. there was an attempt to arrange a trip down to a beach near Cape Jarvis earlier in the year. I didn't get there, and the old forum had a server crash at the time, so I don't know what came of it.
see how we go hey.
anyone out there.......

Hey guys!
Good to see others in this area. i have seen a few around. Spotting is addictive as since driving the ute for the first time, i get more and more addicted to the brand and the model. I am happy to consider anytime and all i need is a day to ensure the beer fridge is full. I don't have a huge number of days or nights available now. I could do the 22nd of December or we could leave it until after Chistmas and gather more peeps. Let me know guys. Pm for addy or Phone number as i am happy to have drop ins anytime I am home really.

the 22nd should be fine for me, nothing stopping us doing it again later in the summer (what summer I hear you ask) we don't have too many more days to chose from before chrissy
Are you offering to cater grog!!!!

I'm happy to byo. have you got a barby to fire up?
Whats everyones thoughts, reckon we meet up early, lunch time, or thinking later?
I guess most people would be off by then(from whatever they do to keep busy).
btw, for the spotters in the south, mines a slightly bruised white L tourer, 14" fuggy puggly wheels, alloy bar.

so Jan 7th then. I'm in. sounds good. It'll give it a bit more time to raise a few more of us. I'm planning on getting a few things done on my wagon over the chrissy season, might show up with a carton and a boot load of parts
flat04, good to hear from ya. I'm always interested in rally. Like your RX.
So do tell, what events........

Hey, I'm pretty easy on when. I'd like to meet up with some fellow subie nuts. I was the one that tried to get everyone down the cape. :-/ I had alot of fun, with my bro and his YZ. I guess the board crashing didn't help. Maybe nexttime I'll try to get some people together and go to the one near the express way, should be easier getting ppl there.
Rally?? Some time next year I am planning (I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to follow thru on this one this time!) on building a subie rally car, I would like to use a XT body and maybe even just run the 5spd and EA82T with mods. Any way, share the info flat04, I am EXTREMELY interested. How much would it cost? and where?

so many questions I have. I'd bring my ute if its ok.
I'll be waiting on a date, I'll watch this topic.

thats a nice looking red ute you have there. i have 100mb of space free on my site so pm anytime you need pics shared for others to see. same goes for any ute owners, or pre1990 models of the soobie race. i will talk to my web designer dude and see if I can get some type of public access happening. So if we can lock in the 7th of January, should i pass on this info to the RS Liberty boys locally too? And perhaps MRT guys might be interested too. i know some peeps that might like to join us. i can supply some beer and will supply bacon, sausages, bread, sauce, butter etc.
I have 2 kids the ages of 7yo and 10yo, so other kids would be well and truly welcome. We have a caravan allocated for their play room. Are we going daytime? I am open to options.

Thanks for the offer, but I use my mum's site. I have my own domain at
http://www.offroadingsubarus.com if you want to see more.
7th is fine for me, day or night. If its night I'll bring my bro, his building up a 83 wagon. But he just lost his licence :-/

Great to hear mate. Need some more Subi muscle to keep those Datsuns/Escorts at bay. I'll try and make it on the 7th and we can chat about it then. I'll try and get a list of things that people getting into Rally should do and the associated costs but really it isn't too much at all.
Look forward to meeting everyone.

People welcome from 9AM. People wanting to work on vehicles will get undercover parking priveledge. If you wish to bring your own drinks, an esky will be required as fridge space will be limited. I will have home brew on hand, and heavies and lights will be available for $2 (this will help cover food costs). Basic barby will be supplied(sausages, bacon, bread, sauce etc).
