SA based MY / Brumby group ?

I've sent invites around to those SA members I know of to join up with a group. I know (imagine) that we all compete for various scarce items such as rear disk brakes, lift kits , 14 wheels etc etc.
Even so sometimes we must have some interests in common - eg silver bullet came and got some measurements off both of the spare 2" lift kits I had sitting around and scored a free set of MY velour front seats, Phinz got a good bonnet and will soon get some front suspension items he was after for basically barter, I got a nice set of 14" alloy rims off another member ( jp147 I think) at a fair price.
I'm likely to have a few sets of 13 and 14" rims excess to requirements shortly, including 14" pug alloys and the 14" alloys I bought from a local member. And probably another set of MY comfy touring wagon seats that bolt into brumbys - to donate to a good cause. As well as some wagon glass to give away to anyone that is prepared to extract it from a wreck before it goes for scrap.
I'll also have a full A/C kit to sell.
so I thought it worthwhile trying to get a little co-op going here in SA. - even if we just meet up and swap wish lists over a beer or Orange Juice- anyway its a thought.
cheers

JP147 is "in" but has a problem posting in this section ?? WTF ?? , he's got some stuff to sell / give away , as well.
if there are a few others interested , we might do a mini- swap meet in a month or so.
so post up or send me a PM
I met David D today at U-pull-it Lonsdale, so its a reasonably small world.

Well count me "in" I guess
I love the idea, not sure what I could contribute in the way of parts at the moment though. I've only got a few stocko EA81 bits kicking around...got plenty of parts on my wish list though
Newest part added to the list is a new/not leaking a/c evaporator...

I have worked out how to post in this section now, I just had to pay my $2 membership.
I have not yet sold a set of 14" alloys yet, but I might have a set of Cheviots for sale in the future if anyone is interested
I will also have 3 early centre caps and 4 good chrome wheel rims that I don't need.
Plus a brand new EA81 clutch, an EA81 weber adaptor, and probably more that I have forgotten.

As for what I want, I could do with some 14" sunnies, a cheap dodgy roof rack cage/basket, a steering rack end heat shield plate, that's all I can think of now.

I reckon this is a great idea, count me in. As well as parts, it's always good to be able to share knowledge and maybe even lend each other a hand when working on our cars.
Nice to meet you at U Pull It, henpecked.
Cheers

It would be good to keep a collective eye on what is available at wreckers too, mainly the 3 U-Pull it yards. I'm sure with all of us there is somebody there at least once a month. I know there is a thread for this already but it's pretty dormant most of the time.
On that note, any new wrecks or decent pickings at Lonsdale you two?

That was my first time at U Pull It, it's pretty close to where I live. I managed to get a rear brake adjuster, a fuel filler flap and a couple of window winders. There was a set of 13" white sunraysia style wheels on one wagon if anyone's interested.
I'm looking forward to a trip to the other 2 yards just for a look around.

Did you go to the one at Gilman? I saw a nice L series wagon there with 3 good white wheels and an alloy bullbar in the boot. It also had power points in the back.

Henpecked, your inbox is full so I can't PM
Silver has a steering rack in the back seat, yellow with a fawn door (like mine) has the manifold. I have pictures that I can post when I get home at 5 if you want.
