I'm thinking the 17th and 18th of January but if enough are against that date I can change it.

This is a rough map of Loveday. There are other 4x4 track on the property they are a little bit hard to draw.

Just reminding you all that the trip is not this ocming Saturday but the next, 17th.

The plan is to meet in Barmera down by the lake for lunch at 12noon and then head on out to the property.

It would be good if you have a UHF radio. You'll need all the usual camping stuff. He does have toilets up by the shed but thats a drive from the camping by the river. I'll have a bunch of recovery gear so if you don't have that its cool.

Any questions, please ask. If you want/need my phone number PM me.

If you cannot make it to Barmera by 12noon, you are welcome to organise with Tony (the owner) on when you will make it to the gate to pay the insurance fee and be let in. His phone number is on his website which Jsubie posted above ^. Also make sure you ask where to go, or if you fill up at the United Servo you can get directions from there.
This is because I only get patchy phone coverage down there and organising with me once we're in won't work.

Sorry about the messing around. Looks like the dates have been changed from 17th and 18th to 24th and 25th. If you want you can go up there on the 23rd, but I'll only be going on the 24th. Link above gives more detail.

Cheers,
Phiz

What about something down Robe for March? I really would like to do the full Robe to Beachport track. Only ever made it a third of the way before turning back to Robe for various reasons

Well that sounds good I've got nothing booked so far in March.

Money for me will be tight, saving for a NZ holiday in July/Aug. Petrol is about the most expensive thing, so if I do bake beens in a can for food I might be able to wing it!

Ran into a young fella in Magill with a white l-series; He had just got back from Robe he had spent five days down there exploring didn't have any trouble.

I think that I will have to put the Robe trip off for now. Might be ready in May/June. Maybe an overnight fishing trip or something.

Thats fine. When you've set a date let us all know in a new thread and we'll see. I'm keen and free most weekends.
