Goolwa beach 22nd Nov
that was one dailed home brew setup you had there crundle it should be mandatory in all subies, the pic of me with my head under the bonnet should have a caption "not broken, just dialing in low range".
wish i could have stayed longer, but from now on i will be found on the beach more often (wish i didn't live so far away).

I saw you there mate! Wondered if you were a part of the ausubi crew. We stopped off at Keith for a pot and a parma, good meal. Did the drive home in 8 hours including meal time No speeding either. Got there at 2am vic time...32ford wrote:missed the run but waved like an idiot at elfreddo just on the adelaide side of keith (he waved back to)
That was a sweet setup! Shame I can't do beer... Really gotta get a cidar brew going now that I'm home again...shuffbag wrote:that was one dailed home brew setup you had there crundle it should be mandatory in all subies.
Me too mate, wish I was a lot closer. Think I might have to visit the little desert National park for a camp trip...shuffbag wrote:wish i could have stayed longer, but from now on i will be found on the beach more often (wish i didn't live so far away).
Thanks BRUMBI - Don't have a good connection for pics here, will have to wait til I'm in benders at uni. I had an awesome time overall - the creek crossing was the best fun, never done that before, especially up the bonnet like that! Got a few new dings, need some lift so the welded diff keeps me outta trouble and further body damage (I should label every ding)BRUMBI wrote:i took elfreddo for a bit of offroad action i didnt get any pic might just have to wait and see what he post up
Cheers to all that came, were involved.

yeah heres is one vid of him going up the creek, the water was very easy for TIM82 and myself but looked quite impressive when el freddo did it, also the little hill at the end took me 5-10mins to get up and TIM82 didn't get up it but the stock blue l series with a welded diff walk up it. i am considering a welded diff very seriously

Yeah, so many people I didn't get around to have a chat with everyone. The Loveday 4x4 weekend might be different. Got plenty of time while sitting beside the river with a line...

Well here they are:
En-route to Portland just near Glen Thompson:
The ferry over the mighty (not so anymore) murray river:
Unloading from ferry at Wellington (?):
Meet point at beach rd car park, weather could have been better:
Stop on solid sand to assess next section which was very soft, also to check to see how everyone was cruising:
BBQ/socialise point at the mouth of the murray:
Ruby Scoo in the sand:
Crundle's home brew subi setup: Gotta give him credit for being the only one with beer on tap! Sorry I'm not a beer drinker mate...

One of the offroad tracks that BRUMBI took me down with Tim82 (?) and his GF:
BRUMBI's beast:
The creek crossing:
The "other way" to do the creek crossing, this is looking up to where the video of me driving up the creek was taken from:
The creek bank that the lifted subi's had trouble with (the welded unlifted subi didn't have much trouble with, not meaning to brag...)
The subi's on the back roads before playing in a small creek crossing followed by an old leisure park that's now a free for all 4wd park:

And also to let the poor old L series cool down from the red... Can't wait to get my leone going!El_Freddo wrote:Stop on solid sand to assess next section which was very soft, also to check to see how everyone was cruising:
