ive made a vow that it has to have mud spray on it at all times :P...nah but seriously...anyone been to the Pt Adelaide motorbike track? i do believe it is occupied my motorbikers during the day..but in the arvo no ones there....we hit it up for bunny bashin...(never do we get anything haha..they are too smart at that track, but SO SO many bunnies) but yeah we sorta just hit up the track...its heaps muddy ey. with this weather in adelaide just gone, it would be fair sloshy. i highly recommend it!...no ones there, its muddy, and there is some sandy patches...its gooooddd.

but yep, the wagon, shes going so rad....a big fan of it i am....had to get the boot struts re-gassed, and the bull bar will need to be re-welded or replaced? anyone know if you can just re-weld aluminium bull bars? or would re-welds make it weak?

and also, my tires stick out the sides of my cars body a bit....anyone elses do the same? theres one next door at my work which stick out a bit....ive heard ya have to get flare things over the arches or something? anyone had dramas with this? would hate to get defected or something if i was picked on

PEACE

pt adelaide is a fair drive, if you are up modbury the foot hills are on your door step just go exploring.

mud spray atracts un-wanted attention
http://http://www.ausubaru.com.au/showt ... 691&page=2 the flares on my car are rather cheap, clarks rubber sells them buy the mtr. but i would buy from the prospect store, the holden hill store charged me double. lucky they only had 2mtrs when i was looking.

^^that other car in the pic any idea what the wheels were from?

hi guys new to the forum and hopefully new to owning a suby
just after some advice.
i've been checking out the suby mentioned earlier in this thread at darlington. from your posts most of you seem to think the k's are ok (311) but it has some rust around the windscreen. not to serious but all the way round and appears to have some bog and sealant on it. car yard reckons there is no leaks. otherwise great car. runs nice, pretty clean.

any thoughts

I'll see if I can remember how to post some pics of mine.
let me know how much it is from Clark's. the stuff that ARB and others sell is madly expensive. 'Red Ranger' brand I think it was. $75 for a box with 5m in it. of course you need 2 of them to do the whole car....$150 is a bit rich.
I got mine from a mate in the industry, so saved a heap.

yeah mine was a rush job but basicly all i did was drill a hole threw the rubber and guard lip, then followed with a tec-screw (flush fitting ones where i thought it might rub).

i had a hand holding the flare to the guard whislt i drilled/screwed.

D3V1L..definitely a COOL vid to watch...my mates and i frothed when we saw what could be done! :D does the hatchback have a different name to the L series? or is it just a L Series hatch? they would be rare?,,,my mate was so keen..it just climbed hills!

I do believe the Enfield store at Clark Rubber was selling this particular rubber lengths at $12.95 per metre...it looked fair good...i just didnt know if you did fit it to the entire guard? i thought it was a good price tho considering what ive heard

Shuffbag, the pic in your comments, does it have the flares on it then?

Im extremely keen for a spare tyre mount for the back of the wagon too...is there proper suby ones? or a universal one for 4WD's?

And does the same thing apply for roof rack cages?

keen to start kitting it out a biit....once ive sold my old car....:P
