how far would you go

Thinking about the BBQ next year and was wondering how far you ppl would concider going for an over nighter have a think abiout it and let me know , i have something in mind , just need to have your thoughts.

over nighter within about a days drive would be quite good..anywhere from around esperence to about shark bay (quite a distance mind u) would be my opinions :) what can i say i like driving and i like my trips away

i don't mind travel but distance = less people.

No reason we can't do a BBQ and a camp like the following weekend is there?

excuse late reply my neck of the woods 3-4 hrs from perth ,1-2 hrs from most coastal areas and depending on time of year can arrange basic facilities,bbq and bar access

well for most holiday destinations for example margs or dunsborough youd travel about 3-4 hours. another hour or two would still be ok in my books.

my home town slightly inland but a good base to start from with gravel areas to play in and cheap camping can be arranged

Ok , to clarify my idea a little , My brother has bought 110 acres down near Mt Barker annd I was thinking about setting something up down there were wwe could camp and make up a few challenges to have a play on.
Oh one thing ,,,, havent put the idea to him yet :).
My brother will be going to our destination tomorrow to set up some flags and stuff for us before we get there as he lives just through the bush from were we will end up,,,, geez he is a good bloke:).

ooo 4x4 challenge track sounds like an awesome idea!
hmm theres a chance I can borrow a bobcat and also a back-hoe, I'm sure we could make some pretty cool obsticals...
