Yo Locals,
Any wreckers open on a Sunday, any given sunday in fact.
As I work most saturdays, sunday is my day of (auto) worship.
Cheers.

EJ22, 5 speed dual range box and other bits. The Brumby needs a new heart........lungs, hip & shoulder replacement, spine, central nervous system, etc etc.
Wanna do an EJ22 conversion.

Once the motor and box is bagged I can start collecting gear from around the traps.
Just keen for the two biggies at the mo.
Matatak, what did you get the Lib for. Was it the one in the Quokka?

Nothing wrong with an ej25 Matatak. Most people are open to different options.

Yeah i aint never heard of an EJ25 fititng in a brumby with out cutting... plus the wiring for an ej25 is a lot harder due to a lack of information on them.
But yeah... if ya wanting more power than an ej22 wouldn't an ej20T be a better option... they seam to me more available.
Keeping the topic back on track for an EJ22... Best to call some places asking for a half cut that has all the parts your need... can save you months of trying to find parts. Maybe they can offer you delivery too.

dont no years or any info bout them from this site but u culd give this place a ring maybe one is a EJ22 with DR box id doubt it but
i got turned away by the prices they want for haflcuts so i started looking for actual cars
yes the halves may only have like 50k to 100k on them but the prices are crazy i reckon

You're right. The prices are a rook.
Anyone know the regs for bringing in parts (as opposed to cars) from over seas.

I think you should be looking into a complete car and then sourcing the box u want. Lib Sedans are seriously REAL cheep at the moment.

lib sedans with like nothing wrong with them are still liek 3 to 4 grand
but a written off one wuld be the way to go if nothing pops up cheap like mine for round a grand to 1500 max.
keep looking at Pickles and Quokka is about it
Ps Dave - ur gettin real close to the 2000 mark hehe

An EJ25 will definitely fit in a Brumby but only if it's the Twin-cam version like what Christian has for sale.
But Christian, this isn't the same as Lapsed's EJ25 - his is the Quad Cam.

How else is this bloke going to afford to race rally cars? Gotta charge like the proverbial wounded bull.....

best bet is to wait for a written off car, you can get them severely cheap, from $400 up to about a grand for a better one. Just as 4muff and myself have just done. Both got good, running cars for under a grand.
