Anyway though that i would pass it on...
Main Roads and Baulderstone Clough Joint Venture would like to advise motorists that the Northbridge Tunnel will be closed during off peak times to
enable an upgrade of tunnel management and traffic control systems.
Closures will commence as follows:
Sunday 20th May from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Further periodic closures will then follow nightly between:
Monday 21st May to Saturday 2nd June between 9:00pm and 4:00am
Delays may be experienced and motorists are advised to take alternative routes.
They are reporting that the planned upgrade is required to keep up with advances in technology and minimise any future problems and possible tunnel closures due to system breakdowns. This is in line with the aim to keep Perth's Northbridge Tunnel one of the safest in the world.
