I saw a good Suby today.
Parked right near me in the Peir St carpark in the city today.

Silver L series sportswagon (estimate 1988) with 14" rims, spotties and 3" liftkit.
I would have stuck a "JOIN AUSUBARU.COM" note on his car but I had no damn pen on me!!

one was in the carpark yesterday at work. looked just like that same model in one of subarinos vids.
red leone with "subaru offroad" plastered down the side. only had 13s tho. ladder on roof.
obviously had never been off road. :(

i saw same model and colours as andrew's but stock with no lift 14's and rocked up at work. soon as i noticed i ran outside and caught him before he left (luckily sighting my car slowed him down haha). i had a chat his name is luke and has been goin 4x4 by himself. perfect oppurtunity to sign him up, so i did.
look out for him.

Saw a silver current model outback today on Hale road towards forrestfield, had a rather impressively large lift in it and big fat arse tyres on some sort of fancy aftermarket rim. was huge, and OMG did it make me drool. Had a nudge bar with spotties on it. Has anybody else seen this car?? it had no stickers or nothing on it, it was driving the opposite way to me so i couldnt get a real good look at it.. dave

Yeah I've seen a few of these cars, definitely the silver outback. The red sedan mentioned above could well be Kliff's old car, I think I heard something about it being put on 13's. If thats the case then this car has been offroad a lot! As well as doing at least 1 trip around the country.

Subaru owners of Perth, keep your eyes peeled for this one. If you see it I want full details, STAT! Spotted back in late December 2004, I wasn't able to chase him down, but this car could well be the best L series in WA. Light green in colour, 3" or larger kit, 15" wheels (same style as was on my coupe), larger than 27" tyres, and EJ20 turbo motor. Spotted him on the freeway, stupid me had decided to give my wagon a run and had left the coupe at home. Couldn't catch up to him and trust me I tried!

I know its from ages ago, but with plenty of WA members on these boards now I thought it'd be worth a mention. A friend of mine spotted it parked in a carpark in about May 2005 and took a muddy photo on his phone. I'll see if I can rustle up the pic.

EDIT: Oh its a Touring Wagon btw.

yes!...i have seen that car...he lives in the hills, and drives it down welshpool road everyday, then he turns left at the iceworks just before the leach/welshpool road intersection. (Tim you should know where i mean)

I once chased him down in my unlifted L, and sort of stalked him...i gave him the thumbs up and he just grinned at me...and yes i agree with you Tim, it is the best L series i have EVER seen, its that light mettalic green/grey colour.

I also spotted a white lifted touring wagon in thornlie at a party a few weeks ago, it had P plates and a large caterpillar sticker on the back.

Dude.... once my wagon's on the road I'm going to throw a sickie and stake out that intersection.

Don't think I'm kidding either :D.
