Greetings From Wait Awhile (W.A.)

Post by BrumBeeBoy » Mon Jan 12, 2015 10:55 pm

Ray from Vic Park WA.
Second stint with Brumby's.

Just picked up a collector's collection consisting of;

'84 original single headlight Brumby - Red
'88 2" lifted, short shifter conversion, factory air, rebuilt engine and suspension single headlight Brumby with canopy - Beige
'85 original Agquip Brumby, factory air, twin headlight - Red
'92 Targa completely original, factory air, twin headlight - White

More parts than the 3 sheds here can hold.
A/C x 3 complete systems, P/S x 2.5 complete setups, 2 x EA81 complete engines (spare) original seats x 2 sets, original uncut door skins x 1, cut door skins x 5 pairs, original radios, doors, guards, rear windows, a spare complete Targa roof with glass, L & R rear quarter panels with sills intact cut to include the rear wheel arches, 2 x rear step complete setups to suit Agquips, Factory roobar x 1, aftermarket roobar, 2 x bullbars and the list continues........

If you need something, good chance I'll have atleast a few pairs spare.

Already had;

'90 twin headlight, factory air, bog standard Brumby - White
'88 single headlight, 3" lift, 6 stud converted hubs, 30" tyres, rear discs, vlsd diff, alloy engine & diff guards, EJ20 motor, 5spd D/R AWD box, Liberty seats, P/S, bulbar, spotties, sports steering wheel - White and Grey

I think that covers my collection.

Surprisingly, I still need to find some parts for the '83 MY wagon that also came with it all.

G'day and welcome (back?) to AuSubaru!
Wow what a treasure trove of cars and parts!!
I am more envious than a dog looking in a butcher shop window and yes, just as much salivation!!
So what are the plans for all the Brumby's?
Are they all restorable/driveable?

John

The cars are all rust free and in various stages of rebuilds.
I only wanted a set of front indicators for a twin headlight Brumby, which I bought and then he offered me is collection.
Could I say No?

I'm willing to part with parts but I'm chasing a 3.9 ratio diff and a complete interior out of a MY Touring wagon auto.
I'd even go to the extreme of swapping my bog standard Brumby for a complete Touring wagon in good nick.

Actually, all I need is the centre console mouldings up to the crash pad and the mouldings for the "Star Wars" dash including ignition.

Grey would be perfect but as beggars can't be choosers, I'll take anything as long as it isn't broken.

The idea is to fit a auto into a Brumby with a analogue instrument cluster.

A 3.9 ratio diff is at the top of the 'wanted' parts list.

More than happy to swap/trade.

Everything else will be standard Brumby.

John
They are all restorable and in excellent health with little to no rust.
Been sitting in a shed, just waiting to be snavelled up.

The Agquip went to fellow work colleague's father who had one as a young man back in NZ.

One will go to a mate for an auto conversion as his shoulders are buggered from pushing motorbikes in and out of workshops for the last 35 yrs.

Three will remain with me.

One is surplus to my needs.

Yes Dave, we have met before.

I then was driving a blue Targa with two white doors and a Weber conversion on a bog standard EA81 setup.
Gabriel Hijackers rears and Kings springs upfront, 2.25 inch exhaust were the only other mods she had.
Even the clutch was secondhand from memory.
Went though ....

How are you?
