wow looks pretty extreme, is it yours Paul?
Looks like it hasn't been driven for a while judging by the colour of the front rotors.

Holy Dooly, it looks pretty schmick. They do grow on me, externally. Still have a problem with the futuristic dash switches. There is some good bits of engineering to talk about there in those pics.....

Sorry guys it's not mine.. I wished it was
Well, the story goes a bit like this…
My very good friend Muz came to me one day saying he had sold his Legacy RS Turbo wagon and needed a new project. He asked what did I think of a Vortex? I told him they are getting rear to find (especially in good nick) due to not a high selling vehicle from new. He said he wanted to make a fast car with the looks of a bullet. So the hunt began
The girl started life as an EFI N/A 1.8 FWD in a bright silver colour of paint. Muz called me over to check the girl out. She looked good, so Muz started getting to work on the new brakes and wheels sorted. Firstly sourcing a 4WD L.Series rear setup and making it all fit. He then made his own custom rear hubs and backing plates to hold the WRX rear brakes. Fronts was sorted with some custom coilovers and WRX front Brakes. Then engine and box out so he could fit the dummy EJ20 Quad Cam and EJ box in so he could start the custom manifold due to the Sprintex Blower he had purchased. Once manifold was completed, he got to work doing his magic on that custom fiberglass bonnet. After the bonnet was made it fitted it was off to the paint shop to get that awesome paint sprayed on.
Unfortunately, Muz moved over to NSW. So he packed the Beast into a container and headed east. I just spoke to him the other day and he said he’s just pulled it out of the container. He still has the wiring to do and a few interior mods but she’s looking sweet.
I will keep you all updated as I hear the news

Yes, it is very nice to see one not lifted. Nice wing too, is that a custom glass job too? Does this guy have a build blog?

I'm 99% sure the wing is off a XR6 ute and I don't think Muz has made a blog but he may have some pictures and diary somewhere on his computer. Next time I speak to him I'll ask if he'll blog something online for us

I sent him the link the other day so hopefully soon but I know he really doesn't get to much into the whole computer stuff. He'll pick it up fairly fast if he does.. I know I had too

Yes could never understand why?? but it least it looks like it was meant to be on the Vortex. I know he had to modify it slightly but you couldn't pick it unless you were right up close.
