Im looking for some expressions of interest in a camping trip for next weekend (Sat night 28th).
Molly is coming down for the weekend so we were thinking a suba camp trip would be a good idea.
Minor details are not yet aranged... although the rough gist is... leave Lunch time Saturday, Camp at Glen Eagle (i think it's called) which is a few kms east of Jarrahdale, and leave around Lunch on Sunday.
4wding difficulty depends on who comes... All subies welcome... lifted or not lifted. Newbies are also VERY welcome.
Anyone interested??

I'll come if I can get my coupe running and my wagon in better shape for offroad by then.
Very slim chance of either of these happening though.

I guess that we could go as we wouldnt have to pack anything as we would be only just arriving back from Karratha , so we could just continue straight there lol.

If the campsite is accessible by 2wd then count me in!
I'll be putting along in the old Mazda.
Hopefully hitching a lift as a passenger in a 4x4 later on if somebody is willing to offer me a seat

Meeting place will be at the service station on the corner of Baldavis Rd and Saftety Bay Road in Baldavis... there is a round about there and a Hungry Jacks so we can pick up lunch before we leave. Yes this is where the Kwinana Freeway ends (South way).
Meet there at about 12 on Saturday and we will probably depart about 12:20.
It would be a good idea to bring along a hand held UHF cb radio... these things are selling for under $30 at Super Cheap... i also have a spare if someone can't get one.
We will be using Channel 16.

Yeah we didn't think we would have absolutly no phone reception up there. If you had a "in car" CB it wouldn't have been a problem... hint hint. lol
The day was great... only Mol and I in hatchie... and Johno is his trusty beige sedan turned up.
Spent the first day scouting about for some good camp sites... Found some great places with running streams and even a small back packers hut that was nice. Rather mild track work was done.
Settled on a place in Glen Eagle near a river and after coming across a very weird acting dude.. who appeared to be up to something illegal, we set up camp.
Next morning we were visited by the local PD... who seamed to be after some illegal maroners in the area... we may have accidently given a description of the guy from the day before to them.
We scouted around for a few more hours exploring the area then ventured to check the track conditions in Jarrahdale... specifically the infamous "Kittys Gourge". This was very challenging and i came close to rolling the hatch onto it's side a few times.
No damage was done..
Lots of fun was had...
Many photos taken..
Pics up soon..
