gero to broome

Post by cooloothin » Sat Jul 21, 2007 12:30 pm

leave approval finally came through. looks like we're off in a week's time.

Suby engine mount problem appears to be sorted. Maybe.

broome, karajini, exmouth, millstream, coral bay..

should be interesting, especially with my lack of ability to fix anything mechanical :)

wish us luck... the research has started on explorOz, i think i'll just buy a book so i don't have to sit on the net for hours. Off to sort numerous things, including hopes of a spare 14" (4MUFF.. what's the chances of you checking and finding one and me somehow getting it up here by friday :P)

will be sure to supply some photos later.

leave next sunday.

i took the marble bar ,bamboo creek, muccan-shay gap and boreline roads to get from Newman to Gt Northern hwy east of Pt Hedland.
Roads bit rough in places.
Check if De Grey rvr crossing is ok first though.

Thanks mate, probably going that way too. We'll be sure to ask in advance.

Straight up to broome via shay gap, hanging there for a bit, then on to the NPs en route to exmouth.

just got back. GREAT trip.

suby went awesome. Nothing fixes a CV squeak faster than 100km of dirt. daily.

Pics and write-up soon. And EJ22Ute, the DeGrey river crossing looked just like that still. Good fun.

Off to unpack
