Selling the hatch or parting out

Post by SuBaRiNo » Mon Oct 25, 2010 11:40 am

I'm selling the hatch when I arrive back in perth in mid January. I'm considering selling it as is or parting it. Or downgrading it and selling for cheaper.

Put your dibs in for parts u may want (most of u know what it has got) or EOI for the whole car. Not sure exactly what I want for the entire car... Open to offers at this stage. Hopefully someone can post a link here to the list of mods the car has. I'm on my phone so I can't. PM me if anyone is interested.

dave, id try selling it complete..i made this error when selling my wagon (although my wagon was structurally stuffed)

to be honest youd probably be pushing to get 4-5grand for it. Even less if you part it out unfortunately. (not much demand for hatch parts here)

I was lucky to scrape about 3500ish back for parts on my wagon. I did get a real good price from my motor tho.

It also depends on how quick you wanna sell it. You can wait for the right person and youll probably get a better price for the whole car.(how long would that take tho)

just afew things to think about.

Most important thing is it goes to a good. The car itself I don't want much for. It's all the added stuff that adds up. Eg : endless air compressor system, supercharger, custom tow bar/ wheel holder / camp table, DVD player/flip down tv screen. Etc

If I get some offers then I have something to think about but I'm not using it and it needs to be driven HARD!

I know what your saying alex.. Last thing I want to do is part it completely otherwise the garbage tip is getting a very rare hatch shell.

He has a hatch I don't :(

we should start a save the hatch fund by it and then donate it to me :)

it would live in the garage for the rest of its life

I would and will seriously consider it if Dave ever thinks/decides to part it out :( I would hate to see it torn to pieces by vultures

Hatchie has been sold complete. New owner picks it up when I get hime in January. He is a board member but I will let him pipe up if he wants people to know.

It been an awesome car for me but sadly i need something larger and more practical. In just glad it's going to a good home an won't be parted out.
