You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

Well tonight I wish to say a HUGE thanks to Mike (Suba) for coming down to the workshop and fitting a new front windscreen for me.. Cheers bud :)

Looks magic now

But there was one little issue that I had.. Mike had popped in a few days earlier (hoping I could just get the 4 chips repaired :( no luck) but he did spot a little bit of rust under the seal  So he said I'll need to fix it before he'll fit the new screen.. so I thought I'd fix it.. Man ! what a job, check out these pictures

hey rsr, regards the stainless trim around windscreen, when do they fit it? do they fit the trim to the seal then seal to the windscreen or the other way around?
regards the stainless trim on the tailgate, is it a cut down piece from the side?

When Mike did it he fitted the Rubber to the screen, then put the screen in the car, then fitted the trim. I'm guessing that's the norm as he's the guru :)

As for the trim on the tailgate.. nope, it was from an old tailgate I had given to me with the car :)
