FS: EJ22 Engine (blown HG)

Post by Subafury » Thu Apr 23, 2009 4:19 pm

im sure someone has the time and effort to fix this up. i dont have skills to pull this apart.
Im pretty sure it has a blown head gasket as i overheated it then there was some oil in the water and it ran a bit funny.

1992 with approx 230,000km.
near new timing belt kit (these are worth about $300 by themselves)

no alt,ps pump, or ac, sp plugs. has everything else.

$100

If you're willing to hold onto it for a while, I'll try and grab it next week.

How much do you want to get rid of it? I'll give you $50 for it.

My EJ22 just crapped itself today,

now i was wondering, have any of you guys done a replacement of a EJ22 in a gen 1 Liberty to a EJ25 engine or something?

Because im seriously thinking of doing that. Any of you guys that have done that, itll be great to get a bit of insight in how its done, and what problems that you have come across.

It will be gone in the next day or two. Then it can take up space in my shed :).
