There's a beige Brumby at Campbellfield PAP...checked it out today. Fairly straight except for tailgate of course. Engine gone. Front bumper and rear bumperettes gone. Bonnet & grille in the tray. Pair of stock rims with very near new tyres tucked under the car behind. Dash is basically all gone.

I grabbed the pass-side door. Drivers side door and front fenders looked pretty good. Bonnet was fine. Stainless trim around the tray was there but poor.

was hoping that brumby was still there, going to see about stripping the front hubs and drive shafts.

PAP Kilsyth 20-10.

2 Impreza's
3 Liberty's, various earlier gen's.
1 1976 sedan with major rust issues. Good grille, interior is quite good, taillights are there but broken, engine (EA71?) is mostly there. Has nice BLACK window winders (metal), good for fitting to a Brumby I'm thinking. Even has the original hubcaps (in the boot).
1 1984 MY wagon, interior is stripped but otherwise ok.
1 1987 Brumby - red. Usual rust in tray but otherwise pretty good - a bit of marking along the sides but I've seen plenty worse still on the roads. Tailgate and bed trim gone. Some of interior gone (some bits have made their way down to the MY wagon).

Well, Centre Rd wrekers doesn't have much of interest - every liberty there - Gen1 and Gen2 were autos.

But there is a foz there like Taza's, engine's gone but the gearbox is sitting on the ground under the vehicle, some code starts with SG-T whatever whatever. I thought it interesting that one of these boxes was left behind and not snapped up. If I had some spare cash I would have grabbed it but alas.

There was also what appeared to be a Gen 1 heritage Turbo - engine gone, bonnet with scoop still there and one of those fancy GT rear wings - with the LED strip for the third brake light, something I've not seen before. Again I would have grabbed this but funds low and I wasn't about to take a gamble on the resale of this item. The VIN of this vehicle was BFsomething something something. I think it was BF, it was certainly not an aussie vin! It was also a two tone body colour red/burgandy on grey. Rear diff gone :(

At Kilsyth it was more of the same. A stripped out (body wise) red brumby was a bit of high light as was a '97/'98 outback - engine missing but all the lift gear was still there, struts as well. Only issue is that the rear trailing arm mounts are holding the weight from the stands.

On top of all of that I didn't find a single factory tool kit screw driver - one of my favourite pieces of kit that has gone walk about on me (or knowing me I've left all of them in various safe places :()

It was a bit of a disappointing day all round - after the huge trip down I tried to kill two birds with one stone. It was still good to get out in the yards again though!

Cheers

Bennie

Kilsyth PAP 2/1/13.

Lots of Impreza's.
Handful of Liberty's, mostly sedans.
1 L series wagon
1 red MY wagon....late run, 1984 compliance plate, but I think it's a bitsa car - had chrome (1982) headlight surrounds, slanted console (now in my possession :)), but plastic bumpers. Looks like a hose-out model, no options at all.

Centre Road Wreckers has tidied their mess of Subaru's and replaced most of them.
Lots of Gen 1 liberty autos. 1 single range manual.
2 L series, an 85 touring wagon with 135000 km on it. Both manuals
And a couple of Impreza's

>>Yard is tidied up again.

If that's tidy I'd hate to see it when it's neat, there were cars strewn down the middle of almost every row this morning!

The Royale looked pretty good. The Outback (parked around the corner) I almost missed.

The first gen Liberty in white had a decent looking front alloy bar, very nice fit all around.

Kilsyth PAP 9/2:

MY Wagon still there.
Couple of L series of course.
Couple of Impreza's
and the usual mix of Liberty's, almost all gen 1 sedan's...normally there are more wagons than sedans.

For CRW, today was clean, two weeks ago, there were double rows of cars in the middle row in front of the Subaru's. Could not get trolleys through.

At last they are putting manual Liberty's in there again, a Gen2 dualrange :D and a Gen1 FWD:(
But have been putting a lot of "new" Subaru's there in the last couple of weeks.

Tambox, I'm after the dual range centre console from a Gen2 liberty, has to be the black/charcoal colour. Parts specifically: dual range lever and matching handle, cover plate on console and the metal surround of the gear selector lever boot that holds the dual range cable.

And if there happens to be a grey Gen2 lib with a good bonnet on it I'm after one if it's $60 or less to replace the one on my mate's lib that's been poorly resprayed :(

And what's the instrument cluster in the royale look like, the usual 4 gauge cluster?

Cheers

There is/was one dual range ser2 there I can have a look on Sat or Sun.

I think their bonnets are $80, will check.

Royale has standard dash, or it would have gone to me as well :p
