Just visited Pick-a-part half hour ago as 1121am, 10/5/08.

• 1992 Liberty FWD sedan automatic for sale $1100 RHS Fender/indicator is damaged - easy fix it to get a panel & indicator from the yard, nice clean sedan, if I had the money I would've bought it by now and clean up & sell. Engine is 307,000kms I think but from what I could tell it has been well look after apart from the damage.

• 1991 Sedan Blue, Manual FWD, no wire loom (dash has been removed and bit messy - assume someone came to get wireloom for EJ conversion.) otherwise EJ22 engine still there, seats etc still there.
• 1990 wagon FWD auto - maroon - inside is bare, engine half complete missing parts.
• L Series 1988 (I think it was grey?) carby auto FWD seems to be ok
• XT Vortex (same one as above posting)
• L Series 1991 white manual D/R 4WD wagon set of 5 Sunraysa rims 13" still complete (one rim has damage but ok for spare) - fresh car arrived the yard. clean inside - pity its a good nick being wrecked - shame yeah.

Cheers

Good write up there AP - never knew your name was Tristan, I don't think i've ever seen one of your posts with your name other than AP - which I thought was your initials with your online name using your initials. ;) The cat's outta the bag now!

Campbellfield eh? Sounds like they've got a lot of rubes at the moment, unusual for them...

Got anything else for the other sites? Dad and I will be brusin a joint or two next weekend hopefully. Centre road will most likely be a start, if we don't find what we want there my guess will be kylsith is next.

If your there look out for a dirty old rangie that looks like it been around the block a few times - sorta red in colour. Go easy on it as its done somewhere over 600,000km... crazy. If its not that machine it will be my currently sorry beast sporting grey sunnies on the rear, black steelies on the front with ausubaru sticker on the windscreen...

Hope to catch one of you there

Cheers

The truth is out! - never really liked leaving personal details over "open" space of internet. Yeah PaP Campbellfield was okay yesterday and is worth visiting depends what you're looking for.... yeah I'll keep my eye out, in the carpark I always circle around looking for people that I know that might be visiting the wreckers, if i don't know that car then I wouldn't have any expectations. Yeah hope to bump into someone one day!
Next wreckers I wanna check out is Jollys and Centre Road.
Cheers

How can you tell if its a webber or not?
Maybe a pic would help to give a guide to someone here?

Heath,

How were the doors on the MY 2-door ?

Any other good bits on it - slanted console or similar ?

Alfa's have standard webers too, good luck finding one in the yard though ive never seen one still on the car, I think the yard operators get first dibs on these.

Im also pretty sure the 2l cortinas have them too, I remember this was the motor people used to give the escorts a 2l conversion.

Had a look today at Kilsyth PAP.

MY coupe - pass-side door is rusted, drivers side is nice. Has a tan interior / dash (dashpad is badly cracked, has a dark brown dashmat sitting on rear seat). Has a slanted console which I left in it in case anybody needs for their MY for a CD player. Car is common early 80s (darker) red.

There is still the Liberty that is almost totally stripped.

L series - 1 sedan (Royale - white), and I think 4 wagons - a white with nothing of note, a cream/tan, a green Touring, and I can't recall the last one's color but it has a spare EA82 sitting in the back with funky green paint on various brackets/accessories (it doesn't appear to be from the green wagon even though the cars are next to each other). I noticed either the green or the last wagon has the blue interior I think GTLegs was looking for, I also noticed the interior trim was bad on it though...

Oh, just re-read this cos I couldn't find the car at campbellfield :(

Could you drop us a pic of the bull bar and a price? We're after one if its the right price.

Today dad and I visited campbellfield and centre rd (who have changed their name...)

Campbellfield:

1 white L series sports wagon, pretty complete, now missing the roof lining trim above the window on the side of the car.
1 auto L leone.

Both cars were carbie. There seemed to be a lot of spaces that were empty - I'd imagine they'd be filled in the next week or so.

Centre Rd:

- 1 rough brumby - drivers door seemed okay for rust
- 2 L series 4wd wagons
- 1 red MY wagon
- 3 liberty's - two gen 1's, one gen 2. One FWD manual, the rest FWD auto.

Would loved to have got the engine and loom from the FWD manual one - 221xxx km's, rolled, engine complete as is the interior. Would have been the perfect donor for my L, just no funds for that atm :(

Cheers

Ah, I was actually describing what I drive, in case anyone wants to say G'day. but as you mention it, I may be able to help with a steel bull bar. What time were you at PAP , as I didn't see a single Suby there at Lunch time on Saturday.
