Little desert national park- oct

Post by subaruby » Thu May 26, 2011 9:35 pm

Have been thinking about doing a trip to Victoria's Little desert national park for a while. When talking to my cousin's the other day, they we keen to do the trip. There would be two of them in a stock holden rodeo with a trail bike on the back. When we reach the park one would ride the bike and the other would drive the rodeo.

It is aproximately 4.5 hours from melbourne and would be looking at a camp fri and sat night coming back sun

It is only an idea at this stage so no details, but I am thinking the last weekend of october.

If anyone might be interested post here....

I am very interested as I'm planning a bigger drive around that time of the year.

My ideal timing would be a couple weeks before that, say the weekend of Sat 15th Oct, or the following Sat 22nd Oct... But I'll make it work regardless...

So COUNT ME IN!!

Pedro.

Sounds good! Little desert NP could be a little small... maybe. If that's the case, there's the Big Desert further north

Sounds like a start anyway! Could be a good 4wd outing to give the new purchase a go!

Cheers

Bennie

PS Richard, there will be a little package arriving at yours late next week - we only get mail collected/delivered twice a week!

Sounds like the LDP plan will be a success!!

I'm thinking of driving from LDP to BDP and beyond to Mildura, Broken Hill and who knows...

I'll have about 10-12 days and would love some company, if anyone's keen...

Cheers,
Pedro.

Big desert park was also on the itinerary.

Its been pointed out that the last weekend in Oct is also the melb cup weekend, so we may need to take this into consideration when setting a date.

Have we got some dates for this in mind?

I'm asking as I'm wanting to propose a Little Dip trip again for mid october - it'll be a mid week trip as Kez and I will be tying it in with a trip to Adelaide for a family occasion. Thought we'd swing by on the way home

Let me know what you're thinking and we might even be able to tie the two trips together for those that can make it

Cheers

Hey Rhys,

Dates I've got available are between 10-25 Oct... Does that align with anything you have in mind?

Cheers!

If i can get the time off work, I am thinking the weekend of october 22-23 for the desert trip.

Its not the Bathurst weekend, not Melbourne cup weekend and not school holidays as far as I can tell.

What do people think?

I'm not sure at this stage, it all depends on my progress with my thesis which keeps going on forever.

Weekend of 22-23 suits me though.

Sounds good to me - I'm looking at being in robe mid week just before this weekend as we've got a wedding the weekend of the 15th... Should tie in well if anyone wants to join, might start my own thread once we can confirm this date ;)

Hehehe... This is why I couldn't do a thesis! Unless it was something to do with my subaru build then I'd be all over it like a rash

Looking forward to it!
