G'day,
Here's a video of some 4wd'n we did up here at Mt Hotham a fortnight ago. Hope you enjoy it. I think the getting Ruby from the carpark is the peak then it gets a bit boring after that. It was a great day out morning out!

Now all I need to do is find my car keys - I think I lost them last Sunday - and could be anywhere between the Davernport area and the Summit - for those that know, there's a lot of distance between the two...
Hope the fb link works.
Cheers

Great video Bennie
Your car is screaming out for bigger tyres

you got the room
Looked like the tracks weren't used that much and some nice steep hills too

Thanks guys,
My mates that were there thought I was going to hit a few cars too - ye of little faith! Love that stuff.
The tracks haven't been used in a while, some of them were cut in my a mate of mine, others were old bulldozed tracks that were "re-opened" by clearing the fallen trees etc.
Yarney, I've got bigger tyres but are running the standard ones for better gearing climbing the mountain while towing a trailer when we moved up here at the start of the season. The other reason is that I don't have snow chains for 27 inch tyres, and if I did I'd have clearance issues between the wheels and the body work - I need to push the wheels forward with adjustable radius rods to create some extra clearance.
We went out again at another place near Omeo - around the old gold mining area in the foothills of the Alps. Small tyres, really rocky road that is only there due to a stone wall created in the gold rush era. Not really enough footage to make a movie from it but I should be able to put a small skit together for you to view.
Cheers
Bennie
