Around Victoria in 30 days

Post by dunnyfromsouthoz » Thu Mar 09, 2006 10:06 am

Just spent a month touring (and tenting) with the family around the bush in Victoria in the Forrester (so gotta get a job transfer somewhere there!)

Spent a week at the Grampians (before the fires)
Then to the Howqua River
Then to Bright, Hotham, Mitta Mitta River, The Barry way up to Jindabyne, Kosciouszko (did the summit walk), Thredbo, then back through Ballarat (Sovereign Hill)

Lost count of the times we went swimming in pools or the pristine rivers.

Nothing beats sitting around a campfire on a balmy summers night with a bottle of chocolate port, with a billion stars overhead watching kangaroos eating right next to you - magic stuff!

Managed to catch a few trout & redfin as well

Ive included links to the photos
Theyre Powerpoint files, and will each take a few minutes to download using a broadband equivalent speed

Enjoy!

Heading to Howqua in a couple of weeks. We've decided to leave the girl's Outback at home and take the Brumby, thus the new tyres (though I needed them in one corner.. see Wheels and Tyres thread Toyo 720F). Now going to replace the shocks and springs and I'm ready to go. Have the two inch lift kit to go in too. Will do that Easter weekend and be ready for Howqua the weekend after.
