So when's the next one???

Post by El_Freddo » Fri Dec 11, 2009 11:26 pm

G'day all,

This is just a thread to start the thoughts off with a question of when are we doing the nest one? If you don't know what "the one" is, this is the one (GOR cruise Trip report).

We were tossing around the idea of an overnighter between xmas and new year... So what are other's thoughts?

Cheers

Bennie

I will not have time to fit one in between christman and new years. i would be keen to do something after the first week of january, an overnight trip would be great. GOR was alot of fun, and i would really enjoy doing it again.

Me either... won't be in Melb actually, so better after 1st wk in Jan. I'm keen, even more if I can get my tyres changed before that.

Sunday the 10th of Jan is pretty much the only day good for me in Jan... And I've gotta sort a second thermo fan plus some new wiring to run them properly.

Hi guys, i'm in for the next trip.

Saw your post on the GOR trip which looked great.

I've got a 2.5i manual with dual range but it's stock standard (apart from new slightly better tyres).

I'm all good for it but I've gotta be in Pyalong at 4pm...

So what'll be the go this time? Meet in Torquay again?

Cheers

Bennie

PS: Rhys, I'm guessing you sent me a text today? I'm on another phone since dropping my last one in a puddle - most of my stored numbers are on that phone and I've left it in benders... The phone and sim card won't talk to each other :(

bummer, Sundays (most) are no good for me until end of Feb.

Well, look forward to seeing the photos and trip report.

On Saturday i'm going to head down to Gippsland and explore the McDonald Track (track/road?). I have no idea what it's like, just looks interesting and goes through some of the area that the Grand Ridge Road goes through.

If you guys haven't done it yet, do the Grand Ridge Road at some point.
Should even be a few opportunities to head truly offroad along that path.

a few photos here (public)

Dunno. Some one text me (I'm looking at you Rhys ;)) when we know the meet point and time. I'll be at a stag party saturday and hope to be ready to go sunday - that'll happen unless I find the free drinks stand...

I'm free anytime after the 15th. Four new CV boots whumped on yesterday in an epic test of self-taught grease mongering. Now the (hopefully long-term) test of seeing which boot goes first! I'm away with my gf bushwalking this week, of course I've chosen a location that requires lots of dirt driving and a moderate 4 wheel drive track

I have topo maps for Benella area and am keen for a 4 wheelin trip before school goes back!

Otherwise maybe a high country dirt cruise? Overnight weekend sometime in feb, mostly dirt road cruisin with some 4 wheel fun for those equipped?
The Green Machine is up for sale :(. Lifted, bars, exhausts... View Gumtree ad

Ok, if I don't hear of anything tonight I'll be headed home, it'll be a blessing but a disappointment at the same time as I'd like to go 4wd'n but it'd save me some money if its not happening.

So, for those that don't have my number but have a plan, you can send me a message on zero four two one one eight four zero three one as to what's happening. As I've said before, I've lost a few numbers for now as I'm on a new phone, once I get hold of my old phone (in benders atm) I'll be transferring numbers to the new phone...

Let me know what's happening...

Cheers
