Let us know the meet point for Friday and your ETA.

I'm looking forward to this week, should be awesome - I've got a lot of work to do to prepare when we get home from Hotham, I think I've got a week and a half gap to prepare!

Cheers

I'm in.

My friend Stephen will probably be along as the unofficial camera guy again.

Okay finally have a few ideas regarding the trip plan.
Its just a starting point as once you are actually doing the trip plans can always change.

Friday night camp will be at Schulzes Beach, Lake Hindmarsh, I expect to arrive around 5.00pm.

Saturday we will head off to Lake Albacutya and for those who are meeting up on the Saturday I will have a location later when we get some numbers.

We will circumnavigate the lake using Purra Track and Wembulin Track then head into Big Desert via Milmed Rock Track.

Campsite will depend on our progress but there are quite a few such as Round Swamp Camp, Arnold Springs, Pigeon Springs.

Hopefully Sunday we can make it too Big Desert State Park to explore some tracks, such as White Springs Lookout and Big Dune.

From there people can decide to stay longer or head home.

I have never been there before but I would not describe it as "hard", more a touring trip, although I am hoping for some interesting tracks in Big Desert State Park.

Even though it is in Victoria all the advice is to treat the area as very remote and so people should take responisbility and be prepared. Be assured though that we all look after each other on these trips.

Everyone welcome, and lets have some fun, ps might even try and sneak in some night driving. :)

Ok I'm there.

Sorry Bennie, Stephen won't joining us on this trip but no doubt we have enough other camera monkeys.

I'll hopefully have a new set of rims and tyres for this trip. I am considering a lift kit. (goodbye stock). I've just fitted my sump guard.

How's this going for you Adam? You should be right without reverse!! We'll just permanently attach a snatch to the rear and have some volunteer pull you out when ever you need reverse  :p

Oooh! Sounds exciting! I've got my 98 foz GT seats in :D VERY comfy!

You'll be right mate! We put Phizinza's stock height Outback over these tracks last "summer". Your foz will be fine, but that said I reckon you'll be itching to get it raised to see the difference!

Really looking forward to this! Got a list of things I need to do before we head off but it shouldn't be too much to handle!

Good stuff mate! Looking forward to catching up if you're still on!

I've got a LOT to do after I get off here and pack up this apartment, once I get home I don't think I'm stopping until I'm in the subi (all geared up) for the trek to adelaide...

My next month is looking EPIC, no real stopping until mid november

So I just want to say there is a 99% chance I will make it. Will be friday night.
Just to confirm, it won't be Little Desert NP? Lake Hindmarsh is between little and big desert and we'll be heading north from Lake Hindmarsh for the weekend right?
And is it possible for a quick map to be drawn up of where this Beach is that we are meeting at?

I will still be at stock height with road tyres. Going to try and smash up my front bumper some more!

Cheers,
Phiz

Ok probably time we got a roll call.

If people can post up confirmation of their attendance and whether you will be there Friday night or Saturday morning.

I will be there late Friday afternoon, around 4.30 to 5.00pm

Yes will try and does this in the next couple of days. I have never been there but I believe you turn off Rainbow - Nhill Rd into Schultz Beach Rd.
