Anyone done the rounds this weekend?

I got rounds plus a trip to hotham for the next few weeks - will hold me back from having a look around :(

I'll have to live vicariously through the rest of you if you don't mind...

Cheers

So, you'll be after:

Sump guard,
L series Low range
Coil suspension struts

Don't forget to look out for a lift kit too - not that you'd find one for a liberty at the wreckers, but you never know eh?

Yep correct, just visited today with Suberman.
there is only 3 L series. Lift kit is gone.
Sherpa was white.
1 Gen2 Liberty.
3 Gen1 Liberty 2 sed and 1 wag.

We laughed at the Impreza, its EJ16 FWD.

Thats right, we did go to Jolly's. Found sump gaurd on L series but it didnt look right to me - I think it was modified with bigger holes hence its weak.. Couldnt find another one, only had 2 L series, 1 MY, and 15 Libertys.

No lift kit found.

Yes got struts/coils & hats. We're going to use the coils and hats on new outback struts for Suberman's airbag conversion.
Gearbox... had sore back today and wasnt gonna bother but we did talk abt it...

Saw a sumpguard at Jolly's. Can't remember what it was on, maybe l series sedan, but it was too thin, and Alpine Raven didn't think much of it.
Got some pedders standard struts and springs - $31 fronts $36 rears.
And got a rails roof rack from the same car - $26.
I'm not going to worry about the L series low range, El Fred.
I think running on gas along with the two fuel tanks & spare wheel carrier was giving the liberty a heavy butt and causing the lack of traction and high revs at Cobaw. When we went on those other tracks I switched to petrol and the car had much more power & handled differently.

If its a turbo its possibly unfortunatly not mate. The cup size is larger as is the ball cage and this may not fit onto the older MY drive shaft axle. If the ball cage spline fits an older MY shaft spline you're in business. The only way to find that out would be to pull a set down in the yard, fit them to the MY shaft (ball cage and cup for the inner CV) - probabily not an easy task.

The MPFI cups are defenetly the go - all you'll need is the inner cup to fit to your current MY shaft's ball cage.

AP and Suberman - sounds like you had a good day out. Fair enough about the L low range. Personally I think I'd do it after having the L. I tell you what suberman, I'll swap you my L low range for your EJ22

I might have to jump on the bandwagon for the next group outing ;)

G'day Guys,
I've got myself a '91 Liberty Wagon and want to change out the seats in it.

I'm chasing WRX seats or leather Liberty seats so if anyone is digging around wreckers and spot some I'd be keen to hear about them.

I've been keeping a look out on ebay but there hasn't been a lot about.

Anyone had any dealings with http://www.gotitrex.com.au?

Also does anyone know if later model door trims will fit the S1 Libs.

Cheers
