Thanks - we like it.

It isn't finished yet - there are still numerous fiddly bits we need to attend to.

It is running a brand new EA82T - currently has less than 100km on the block.

MY13 Outback - The new blue one.
MY99 Outback - As it's maker intended - but with a fresher engine now.
1994 RS Turbo - Not quite so stock! And freshly repainted now :)
And then there's the family Vortex - rebuilt, updated and now unregistered and gathering dust in the shed.

Did you do the rebuild yourself? or got someone else to do it? Thinking mine will need a freshen up in the not to distant future.

My son and I did the rebuild ourselves. He did most of the work - I just lent a hand where necessary. We did pay someone to paint it though.

We have one Subaru and one Honda.

This is our Forester X Weekender (MY05, Delivered April 05):

This next photo is of our previous Subaru. Traded it in for the Forester. It is an MY02 Impreza RS.

We lived in Canberra when we had this one, as well as when the Forester was delivered. Now we live in Sydney.

I am a Novacastrian, ( Morisset - west Lake Macquarie) wouldn't say that I,m a Kid any more though...:p, but I enjoy a spirited drive now and then.

Currently have some suspension issues, as I have taken the air suspension off , put 03 liberty GT brakes on and Eibach racing springs. which makes the thing a bit like a go cart. Problem is if I don't drive it hard enough, it actually is a bit unpredictable.

Doing some alterations to make it a bit more drivable.

Used to be around this forum quite a bit, but as there are very few Vortex's here anymore, I frequent an overseas froum instead. Great bunch of people here, but the theme seems to be more 4x4ing these days.

'88 Vortex AWD turbo with "go hard" attitude -

WRX EJ20G and box , TD05 Turbo and 4.111 running gear.
5 Stud conversion (Crossbred Performance) Multi pot GT Legacy brakes and 17" rims
Plenty of plans... the plans are getting done slowly;).... getting there - NOT! ;)

yeh quite a bit of 4x4 stuff goes on in here... personally i am trying to mod my 83 MY coupe so it can quickly be change from road go kart to offroad beast with a simple wheel swap and suspension adjustment. last coupe i tried it on rusted away from too much beachwork... but had 0 lift custom arms n rad rods 27" shoes and more clearence then most 4" lifted soobs... then muddy wheels off, pretty wheels on, adjust suspension and she's stiff n low n ready 2 go.... hahaha...
there needs to be more sooby trips around this area, both on and off road...

Gday, I am new to NSW. I have a 89 summerwagon 2inch lift 14's but otherwise stock.
I dont post alot but read heaps on this site. the reason i dont post heaps is because i can often find an existing post on what i need to know. I have rebuilt the ea82 with the help of this forum.
Cheers!
Mitch
