Alarm System Haywire O.o

Hey, so...
Last night I think (probably did?) I entered the wrong number into my keypad. Everything shut down. I could open and close the door at the time. Just nothing would start. I couldn't have cared less at the time, so I just shut the door and went back to drinking. Come out this morning and the door's locked, and remote central locking won't open the door, and neither will the key itself into the key slot.
Tha f**k have I done, and how do I fix it without costing me $5807779.76 ... Do I have to get someone out here to fix this?
Cheers guys.

I'm sure RACQ or Subaru will come out and help once they pick themselves up off the floor. If you could get to the battery I would suggest removing the positive or negative lead for an hour, then putting it back on.
and yes year and model would help.

The door won't open, so I can't pop the hood. Bah!
05 IMPREZA WRX MY05.
It's my first Subaru, so I'm unsure if the system is stock or not. Basically, near the cruise control there's a keypad. You enter your key, turn it on so you can listen to radio/air con etc, enter numbers into keypad so the keypad isn't lit up anymore, and then twist the key so it starts up.
Gahhh!

sounds like a brant system... umm if you've locked yourself out i believe its a case of getting a master code or something along those lines from a subaru dealership to reset the system... ring them they'll let you know.. as long as it is your car that is

Yeah you should have 3 attempts before it shuts down. If this happens you go through Subaru with a heap of paperwork to prove it's yours (givem 2 weeks). Otherwise a mastercode should do it. Just go to your local suby dealer / mechanic and they should be able to help.
Does My dads 02 STi have the same alarm? His would ecxept the code and then he had no power whatsoever, dead. Wait 5 and it might be ok. In the end he got a new alarm modual from Subaru, no problems yet touch wood.

Yeah when we got ours we were heavily warned, DON'T put the wrong code in 3 times or try to turn it over without the code. Coz apparently its so hard to prove that it is your car, so that subaru will then fix it.
These Alarms were not stock. Insurance companies wouldn't insure them so subaru recalled all of them and put them in. They are renowned for being dodgy. Once we identified that the alarm module was the problem we immediatly replaced it. I believe you can also have it rewired so you dont need it. (but you probebly cant insure it then. My 2c would be to ring subaru for help. If they will (they did for my dad) ask for a code and then brake into your car with a coat hanger. If it is still dead when you get in, then you need to take it to subaru.
Coat hanger trick. place it down the side of the window and try to hook the mechenism and unlock the door

Basically, what you're all saying is Subaru is ****ed and not to ever buy one again, and that I've lost $23,000- ... Awesome.
All sarcasm aside, I'm seriously not buying another one after I fix this debacle :/

Why not they are great cars. No im not saying that, just that these "aftermarket" alarms are a bit thingy. Dad's car is fine now. Look ringem up and see what they say, it might be very easy to fix. But if the law gets in the way thats when things take time.

I had the number of a subcontractor who used to install these alarms for Subaru in Sydney. He comes out and resets your mastercode so you dont need to go through subaru.

Wellll, I being the fool I am, only the driver's side door was locked. All other 3 doors weren't. So, was able to jump in and have a look around. Turns out I must have kicked a wire out, because I reconnected it, popped the hood, disconnected and reconnected the battery and entered 0000 #* and fark me know how it worked but everything's back to normal now

Cheers for the replies, anyhow. More than other subaru forums I posted the same thing on. Good to see

Hey brumby kid - wanna go back and delete how to bust into a subaru on a PUBLIC FORUM???
That would be super. And next time, best not to post those details, even if it may be common knowledge for those after subarus...
Glad you got the issue sorted Xplicid - some times a set back to look at the situation brings new light to the situation
Cheers

These days a coat hanger in the internals of a door is useless, unless you are an expert locksmith. All it will do is trigger the alarm, when the door is messed with.

didn't kronic get made illegal? I know it is in WA, but then again so is more than 3 people meeting in a public place without a permit.
