how cool are jungle perch.
did you feed them? They go psycho if you throw some bread around, very agressive feeders

Nice camping spot. I used the same one a last fraser trip.
Are those pics with the new toy ? They look pretty good quality.

been so long since I've been to fraser
. Used to love going around there in the old 1800 with my parents (bout 15 years ago
. never once did get bogged. Mind you the sand digouts in the tracks were heaps shallower back then for some reason. more subs taking the top off them i spose. need to get back there.

There was next to no Tailor this year for some reason. A total of 6 weighed in for the comp. No body was catching any. Very strange to go to Fraser and not be able to catch a Tailor.

I think there was also less than 20 Flathead weighed in during the comp

Love the Orange on the Car, came up real nice. And Frasier Island looks wonderful, i'd love to be up there someday in my subi.
Dunno how much you guys know about flash photography, but the best way to get the most colour out of a sunset/sunrise is with the flash on and something in the foreground for the camera to set its light reading from, under-exposing the background showing all the colours of the sunrise/sunset.
If you don't use the flash, as in the pic of the
orange subi on the beach (no flash), the camera will set itself up for the light from the sunrise/sunset, losing a lot if not all of the colours of the sky (still looks good). The next pic on
is a perfect example of the use of flash under-explosing the background to show all the sky's dramatic colours, while nearly perfectly exposing the subject in the foreground (also sorta removes them from the background environment).
Play around with this next time and see what works for you and your camera, sometimes it just comes down to knowing what your equipment can and can't do. - I've just done about 5 weeks of flash photography at uni, but yet to get a digital and try it out properly (i love my black and white photography without flash - especially pushing film).
