I have asked a few people I know who have been to the area and although the subaclub mag says you must book apparently it works on the old honesty system of drop your money in the hole. So we can't pre-book a site correct ?

Yep the complete Kinkuna national park has been burnt out! The camp area has been more than likely total destroyed... I will put some more info up when I find out more form the local rural fire brigadeā¦.

Just talking to another bloke who can see the smoke from his house. The radio told him the park will be closed for another week at least.
edit - "Access to Kinkuna roads and Kinkuna camping area is closed due to wildfire. Expected to be open by the weekend. Please phone Woodgate QPWS office on 4126 8810 for updates. "
