At the risk of sounding repetitive, I have cut and pasted this article RE: the BBQ from another message board I had posted it on. We don't want anyone missing out because they haven't heard about it.

It's on again !! Don't miss out on the 5th Annual AUSubaru/BYB BBQ 8th October 2005.

The cruise starts at 8am at Brett & Megans' place (77 Captain Whish Avenue, MORAYFIELD QLD) for Bacon & Eggs, Tea and Coffee (all supplied) There is a $5 temporary membership fee if you are currently not a financial member of the Subaru 4WD Club of Qld for insurance reasons.

We have a big day planned after breakfast. We will be heading north to Sunspares (subaru spare parts) They are kindly supplying a few nibblies while we have a browse and buy suby bits (bring your pocket money)

This will be followed by a drive up into the mountains. One course for the 4wd and another for the road cars.

We will meet up again at Mary Cairncross park. From there we will travel to woodford where we will again regroup before heading to a property less than 10 minutes from town. This is where we will spend the remainder of the day admiring all the subarus and where the 4wd Subarus will get to have a play on some tracks that we have been busy building.

Although breakfast is supplied. We ask that everyone is self sufficient for lunch. We will be stopping in the township of Woodford for those who would like to buy lunch and drinks. There will be bar-b-ques available at the property for those who need to cook lunch (and dinner)

A lot of us will be camping at the property. All are welcome to do so but please be fully self sufficent, as in tents, water etc. There will be a porta loo provided. Please - no pets. If you have kids and you have the room, feel free to throw in a bike for them to ride around.

There will be a bonfire that night and for those who are interested the next day we have organised an outdoor viewing of Bathurst on the telly.

All in all, it should be a great day and a great opportunity to catch up with everyone and admire all walks of subaru's. Don't be afraid if you don't know anyone. Jump right in and enjoy the day. Everyone is welcome provided they have a SUBARU !

Hope to see you there!

Cheers
Kim

I dont think the poll would work on here yet as there isnt many people signed up. And as I wont have a suby by then I can't come, and I dont know anyone going that has room. Maybe next year.

Well looks like i can't make it this year, the coupe IS alive but buggered if i can put fuel in it :p
I will be up at Morayfield for my sisters birthday from about 10, too late to see any of you i guess. Sounds like you have a well organised day planned with the offroading etc.

Hope you all have a grand day & there aren't to many overheating issues ;) i plan on being in the pool most of the day.

p.s. if anyone happens to slip a couple of MY quarter panels into their pockets at sunspares i would be most appreciative :D

Yeah, no aircon here either....just plenty of iced water. Bring your cozzies. If it gets to much we might jump in the local waterhole.

Tomorrow!

Yes..name tags are back again this year! They probably sound a bit dorky but it makes a huge difference on the day. It's good to put faces to (board)names.
