Well I'm planning my first 4wd trip with my rx, and since I want to go some place close by, Bribie Island is a good option.

Plan on going on the moreton bay side, driving up to the ocean beach camping area and staying there for a day or 2.

is there anything i should look out for? anything i should know etc?

like any beach pick your tides and you will be fine.

bribie has lots of woops in the beach so watch your speed. (you will know what i mean once you are up there)

All the lagoons are open and you will definitely need to run up there on low tide. Stop and pick your spot where you drive through them. They look deep due to the tannin stain but they can be quite shallow. About an hour either side of low is the only time you can cross them.
