Hi all, first post here.
I own a 2011 Tribeca, with a rooted engine (big end's gone, amongst other things). I've secured a replacement engine but I'm looking for recommendations on mechanics around Brisbane/Ipswich that know their Subarus. Does this forum have preferred mechanics? Someone who specialises in Subaru would be preferred, but if there's a strong endorsement for a general mechanic, I'm happy to go with that, too.
Flip side of that coin, are there any mechanics I should stay away from?
Cheers!
Benjamin.

You’re only a stone throw away from Turbo Yoda. I’m not sure what his workshop is called, but search that name and you should find him.
He is highly recommended particularly throughout the suby community.

Welcome to the forum Benjamin, I love your username!
Turbo Yoda, aka Al from AMauto, will do this swap in his sleep. Although he might try talking you into a super gramps “conversion”.
How do you find the Tribeca? Mrs El Freddo and I considered them as our next family bus but ended up getting a diesel Pajero (which continues to be fantastic for our family!).
Cheers
Bennie

Boxer Service in Brendale took good care of my 2003 XS Forester for about 12 yrs.
