oil in turbo

Post by dj fbi » Wed Apr 23, 2008 7:07 pm

i have a touring wagon with a ea82t motor in it with a td04 turbo in it. Today driving to work i noticed abit of white smoke coming out, when i got to work there was a lot , i pulled the intercooler of and noticed a bit of oil in it and the air intake to i cleaned them all out put new oil in her now she dose not smoke anymore but i can see a bit of oil in the air intake still coming out it. Dose not have a catch can so i was wondering if that was the problem or if the seals in the turbo has gone the turbo it is still boosting fine still sounds the same and no play in the shaft just abit of oil in her any help would be great.

EA turbo's always have an oil build up in the compressor side of the turbo.
