Hello All, last year I purchased a 1998 Impreza Sports Wagon and have been running around trying to find help sorting out used car problems. Not much a mechanic myself but my brother and father are Land Rover nuts, and have given me an appriciation of well run cars over the years. Have had a bit of a run around finding a good mechanic but have finally found Jonh French motors in Wooloogaba Brisbane, nice bunch there. Car runs great now, engine idles smooth and drives like a different car. Anyhow, I have been looking for info on mechanics of my Subaru and have been trying to find a workshop manual to do some reading and have had no luck finding one. Subaru have said the engine is a FJ 2L SOHC 16 valve but nowhere can I find any info on that sort of engine.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or share info on my delema?

im sure its ment to say EJ
there is heaps of info on the NA EJ20 engines use the search option on the site or google

Yep, that would be an EJ series engine, not FJ
