Hi, just joined and have a third diff query?

Post by TW68 » Wed Apr 09, 2008 7:59 pm

G'day, this is Tom. Two years ago I bought a Subaru Forester 1998 and its little gem.

At present I'm doing a few repairs and wonder if anyone has a copy of the third diff assembly in their manual that I could get some torque settings off :?: I'd love to see a copy of its removal and replacement if possible? I bought a CD copy online and it doesn't have what I need. Much appreciated if anyone can help? Forester, Outback or Imprezza workshop manual pictures will show what I need.

Many thanks and glad to make your acquaintance. Tom :D

Hey welcome to the forum!

By third diff i'm guessing you mean the centre diff in the rear of the gearbox? I'm sure someone around here may have a diagram your after or even a photo.

Cheers

Yeah the "3rd Diff" is in rear of the gearbox which is called "Centre Diff" has yours blown as well? is it Automatic or Manual?
I Think THINK there is an manual over either Oz Liberty or Forrester Forum out there..

Cheers
